Heritage Boys Academy

"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord..."
Psalms 127:3

"...thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name."
Psalms 61:5

Heritage Boys Academy opened in December, 1995. It is a 24 hour residential program designed to meet the needs of troubled boys, teaching them how to have a relationship with God, respect for others, and responsibility. Heritage Boys Academy gives these boys in trouble a second chance, and provides a home for the homeless.

There are 1,500,000 kids running away from home every year in America. 5,000 kids each year are buried in unmarked graves. These runaways and mostly castaways are refugees from a bigger war going on inside the American home. There are 2 million juveniles arrested every year in America. There are many other kids who come from Christian homes who need help.

Our desire is to help them.

We get around 10 calls every week. We can presently care for 18 boys in our present facility. This home for troubled youth is located on 10 acres of beautiful land outside of Panama City, Florida that was donated to this ministry. It is here that these kids learn to raise crops, care for chickens, and experience a large dose of love, family, work, responsibility, and living by God's principles. It is our goal to foster the creation of many homes of this nature across America, and to make an impact on the lives of many, many kids. A girls home ministry is projected in the next few years.

Testimony of Marcus Sapir - 17 years old.

I was born in Haifa, Israel. My father is a Jew. I grew up without a Dad, with my single Mom most of my life. I had no father to correct me and discipline me the way the Bible says. My Mom did the best she could, but as I got older, I began to rebell. The Bible says that "a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame" – and that's what I did. . .

As a teenager, I began playing around with drugs and alcohol, and hanging out with the wrong crowd. Slowly, but surely I become the wrong crowd myself. The only difference was that my friends stopped going into deeper sin, and I kept on going. Sin had me, the devil had me, and I was headed for destruction. I finally hit rock bottom, when I woke up one day in a drug rehabilitation hospital dying of a drug overdose.

It was after I was released from drug rehab. that my mom sent me to Heritage Boys Academy. I was excited about going to Panama City, FL, but little did I know that God was tracking me down where I could get saved. When I first got here, I thought these people were crazy fanatics, and I didn't much care about God or the Bible. About eight months later though, I was under heavy conviction, and I got saved at an old fashioned tent meeting . . .Thank God for preaching!! It sure is good to be saved!! Since I have been saved God has called me to preach, and to go back to Israel, and preach the gospel to my people. I thank God that he brought me to Heritage Boys Academy. Please pray for me and the other boys here at Heritage Boys Academy.

Heritage Boys Academy Graduation

In this country where you have students who get socially promoted, and some graduate totally illiterate, I am glad to say that we have had 6 students graduate from our A.C.E. school program here at Heritage Boys Academy, some who were at a 3rd grade reading level when they arrived here. Here are some pictures of last years graduation. Graduate 1 is Nathan Marsh who is home in Austin, Texas and attending Bible Institute at Capitol City Baptist Church. Graduate 2 is Jesse Thomas who is home now near Gaylord, Michigan.

Does God have a place for you in this ministry?

We desire you to pray for this work and to help in this ministry if you are able and willing. Everyone can be involved in helping needy kids. We have an extensive literature packet that we will send at no charge to those who are interested in this ministry to troubled youth. Heritage Boys Academy receives no state or federal funds for it's operation. We rely solely on the free-will gifts of churches and individuals.
